Brompton Heights has only one room and no kitchenette. I was looking for a little smaller home, and I think Brompton has 175 in-house. They have crafts room and movie rooms. The facility was setup nicely, but I didn't like the one room, and I didn't like too many residents.
Your services include fine dining with three daily, chef-prepared meals, 24/7 recreational programming to keep your mind and body active, and 24/7 on-site nursing – just in case. I went on a tour at Brompton Heights. It was a nice place, but there was no room available. I do remember what the shared room looked like, and it was way too small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was an activity room, and there were people there doing something.

They were doing trivia while I was there. One benefit is that they do skilled nursing in that facility, so that was a plus for us. Has your loved one experienced a fall? I visited Brompton Heights on and off quite frequently when a good friend of mine was there. The people were very accommodating. I had three or four relatives and friends there, and I was always impressed with it. Altmuehlsee is according to me the most beautiful lake in the area. I visited it in winter so I can't say what is a service quality. But it seems to have everything one can need to relax on the beach or enjoy water sports.
Assisted Living Facility in Williamsville, NY
There is also a smaller living room area near my moms room that she spends quite a bit of time in. My mom loves their art program, playing bingo and going to mass. Mom will be living at Brompton Heights for many years to come.

So we were pushing to have that done and were visiting on a weekly basis, and it was adequate. The room she's in is a basic room and there's a walk-in shower, two beds, two dressers, and two chairs. The food was adequate, delivered at a consistent time every day in the large dining room. She sat at a table with three other individuals. I would rate the working nursing staff at a five, and the administrative staff at a three. At our assisted living facility in Williamsville, we have licensed nursing professionals on-site 24/7, not just on call.

The building was really big, which we liked, and it had high ceilings. The director was extremely accommodating. The only thing that we didn't like was that they didn't offer apartment-style living. It was more of a 1-bedroom with a little eating area in it. There was nothing where it was like a separate kitchen from the bedroom and the living room.

They don't take care of her needs when she goes to the bathroom. When my family and myself go to see her, we ended up having to clean her up and change her clothes because they are not doing it. Her bathroom is always dirty and we are always cleaning it because she has accidents.
But I noticed how rude she was to the kitchen staff. She talked down to them and never complicated them just told them every thing they did wrong. I personally think the kitchen staff works very hard and I think they do a very nice job. If anything Michele was just discouraging them and under appreciating all the hard work they do for the residents. My aunt stayed at Brompton Heights for two months. It was a good place, everybody was professional, and we didn't have any issues which is a big thing.

Brompton Heights is a luxurious Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence located on six acres of land in beautiful Williamsville, NY.
The staff seems to be very close to their residents and taking care of them. They do a lot of entertaining of the residents. They have bingo, they take them on tours, and they have pool table and a movie theater where they show two movies a day. They give you two choices for lunch and dinner. My mom is living in a one-bedroom.

As for staff, every place I went was very friendly and very nice. I would recommend any of them to go to see for themselves, but I prefer the one with the bedroom separated from the main room. My Mom was a resident her for a month in assisted living.
There is a bicycle path around the whole lake and marked hiking trail. Although the lake is intensively commercially used you can find there a beautiful nature and even a natural reservation. I was amazed by two big flocks of geese. Watching them flying over the lake was a breathtaking spectacle. We all know what it’s like to watch our loved ones age.
